Imagine finding a scene in a video that is worth sharing, but all you’d like to do is share that specific scene.

We found a video showing some highlights from Felix Baumgartner’s recording breaking supersonic skydive.  The video is 1:30 long, but nearly a minute has to pass until the moment (0:56) when Felix actually jumps.

Enter The Mad Video and our Share Video Tags feature.  This allows you to not only share the information in a given tag, but to also share the time it takes place in the video.  When anyone clicks on a video tag, they will be taken to the very second where that tag was applied.

Getting back to Felix and his skydive, we can now provide a way for our friends to jump to the specific moment at 0:56 when he falls nearly 130,000 feet back to the earth.  We can also share it on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.

Sharing video tags on social media works in very much the same way as if you were sharing an article.  In some cases, we’ve added in a blue tab with the words “TAG” that will appear over the image that is generated.  This will help your friends know that they will be clicking through to a certain moment in the video.

Think of all those hour long lecture classes you could segment, the time you appeared in that movie scene, that hat on that show that you just have to share on Pinterest, etc. An interactive video is yours to slice and divide as you choose!
